Austin Psych Fest 2012!

Austin Psych Fest is April 27-29, and will be changing venue locations this year. Last year the festival was held at the historic Austin Power Plant and this year it will be held at the new Emo's East and new Beauty Ballroom bars. In my opinion, not as cool as the power plant. Although, the line up is pretty killer, in my opinion. Tickets are currently available for $100 for weekend passes, but will soon be raised to $120. More artists are schedule to be announced in March, along with single day passes will also be available.. Price unknown as of yet. Ticket on sale here.

Burger Records

For those who don't know, Burger Records is a record store/label out of California that (should be located in Austin) produces kick ass cassette tapes. Whether you still drive a P.O.S. car with a tape deck or your a completest, you can find your favorite albums back out on cassette. Burger records, to name a few, have produced/ re-released some killer artists such as: The Black Lips, Ty Segall, King Tuff, Thee Oh Sees, Night Beats, Witch, Dead Ghosts, No Bunny, Heavy Cream, Crystal Antlers, The Dwarves, Hunx & His Punx, Box Elders, OFF!, Jeff The Brotherhood, and soo many more. They have a great idea going on of hand-numbering and limiting the releases they produced, typically to 250 pressings/copies. This gimmick gets me every time. I can, and I must have Burger Records! Check them out.

King Tuff - Sun Medallion

This is by no means new and/or unknown, it just needed a re-visit and re-listen.
